I just discovered that this cool book, Dice Games Properly Explained, by master game craftsman, Reiner Knizia, is back in print (as of a few months ago).
If you want to know all about dice games (betting, bluffing, lucky scoring, progression, jeopardy, and more), then this is the book you’ve been looking for.
This book uses many types of dice games to delve into the theory of dice and dice rolling better and more completely than anyone else has ever attempted, to the best of my knowledge.
It’s not a thick book; you could easily read it in a day – maybe in an afternoon, if you read quickly. But you probably won’t want to zip through it that fast because of all the detailed information it contains.
