Clue Is the Classic Deduction Game
It almost seems that you shouldn’t have to tell anyone about Clue. But when you think about it, you realize that it’s new to each new generation of gamers. So if you haven’t played the classic game of Clue, you really should give it a try so you know what everyone else is talking about.
Clue is a good game for children. They can practice basic counting, learn how to roll and use a die, and (possibly with help the first few times) build basic deductive reasoning skills.
For those who are older, it’s mainly building on the basic deductive reasoning and learning new strategies that will be of interest.
To win the game of Clue, you need to determine who has committed a murder – Miss Scarlet, Prof. Plum, Colonel Mustard, Mrs. White, Mr. Green, or Mrs. Peacock. You also must figure out which weapon was used and in which room the crime was perpetrated.
It’s because of the game of Clue that you will sometimes hear someone semi-randomly say something like…Miss Scarlet in the Study with the Lead pipe…a common way to phrase your final accusation when attempting to win the game. What such a person was actually referring to at the time is anybody’s guess.
